Class Descriptions
My First Art Class (1-2 years)
Squish, Scribble & Splash!
There’s something magical about watching your little one discover art for the very first time. My First Art Class is made just for ages 12–24 months and their grown-ups. Together, we’ll paint, squish, scoop, pour, stamp and explore through sensory play, music, movement and process art. And while they’re busy getting messy, they’re building fine motor skills, exploring their senses, developing language, growing confidence and discovering what they can do. Come make a mess, make some memories, and experience the joy of creating together. Their very first art masterpiece starts here! Caregiver participation required.
Mini Play Art (2-4 years)
Imagine, Create & Explore!
Big imaginations need plenty of room to grow. Mini Play Art is made for curious little artists who love to paint, build, squish, experiment and create. Each week brings a new theme to explore through literature, sensory play and open-ended art experiences. While they’re busy creating, they’re also building fine motor skills, growing their confidence, practicing problem-solving, developing language and learning to make their own creative choices. There’s no “right” way to make art here. It’s all about exploring, experimenting and discovering what happens next. Caregiver participation required.
Art Explorer’s Club (2.5-5 years)
Discover, Connect & Grow!
Ready for a little more independence? A drop-off class for ages 3.5–5 that gives young artists a warm, nurturing place to create, make friends and build confidence on their own. Through stories, sensory play and open-ended art, children practice making choices, solving problems, following classroom routines, caring for materials and working alongside friends—all while getting wonderfully creative. It’s more than an art class. It’s a gentle introduction to independence, community and the confidence that comes from discovering, “I can do this myself!” Drop off class.
Art Club: Art in Motion (5-9 years)
Invent, Build & Move!
What if art didn’t have to sit still? In Art in Motion, kids will explore what happens when creativity meets movement—designing artwork that spins, swings, glides, balances, folds and transforms. Through kinetic sculpture, paper engineering, moving puppets, marble runs, optical illusions and more, artists will experiment with materials, test ideas and find creative solutions when things don’t work the first time. It’s a class about curiosity, invention and seeing possibilities differently. Drop off class.
Art Club: Powered by Paint (5-9 years)
Mix, Experiment & Paint!
What can you do with paint? A lot more than you think. In Powered by Paint, artists will discover just how far they can take one of art’s most exciting materials. We’ll mix colors, create our own textured paints, explore watercolor, acrylic and tempera, and experiment with unexpected tools, surfaces and techniques. Along the way, kids will learn to trust their ideas, take creative risks and discover that some of the best art happens when you’re willing to experiment. Drop off class.
Art Club: Wild Wonders (5-9 years)
Wonder, Observe & Make!
Why do zebras have stripes? How does a chameleon change color? What makes a peacock’s feathers shimmer? In Wild Wonders, the incredible world of animals becomes our inspiration for making art. Each week, we’ll discover a new creature, habitat or fascinating feature of the natural world, then explore it through painting, sculpture, printmaking, collage and mixed media. Kids will look closely, ask questions, experiment with materials and turn what they discover into artwork that’s completely their own. Drop off class.
Tween Art Club: Modern Sculpture Lab (9-13 years)
Build, Design & Innovate!
What if almost anything could become art? In Modern Sculpture Lab, kids will twist, wrap, stack, shape and build with wire, string, plaster, cardboard, recyclables, found objects and more. Along the way, we’ll take inspiration from some of modern art’s most inventive sculptors—Dale Chihuly’s incredible color and forms, Alexander Calder’s moving mobiles, Ruth Asawa’s intricate wire sculptures, Louise Nevelson’s transformed found objects, and Niki de Saint Phalle’s bold, larger-than-life creations. Then kids will take those ideas in their own direction—experimenting with balance, movement, texture, color and scale to create sculptures that are completely their own. Drop off class.
